Asura / Kishin

Asura is the first Kishin (demon god) and the ultimate antagonist of Soul Eater. Born as a fragment of Lord Death's own soul representing his fear, Asura was once the most powerful of the Eight Powerful Warriors who served under Shinigami. Consumed by his overwhelming paranoia and fear, he devoured his own weapon partner Vajra and began consuming human souls, transforming into the first Kishin. Lord Death was forced to skin him alive and seal him beneath Death City using his own soul as the anchor. When resurrected, his Madness of Fear spread across the world, threatening to drive all of humanity insane.
