Danzo Shimura

Danzo Shimura was a power-hungry elder of Konohagakure and the leader of the covert ANBU faction known as Root. A rival of Hiruzen Sarutobi since childhood, Danzo operated in the shadows, orchestrating some of the village's darkest events including the Uchiha Clan massacre. He implanted Sharingan eyes across his right arm using Hashirama's cells, giving him access to multiple uses of the forbidden technique Izanagi. Danzo briefly held the title of Sixth Hokage Candidate before being killed by Sasuke Uchiha during the Five Kage Summit arc. His philosophy of protecting the village through ruthless pragmatism and sacrifice made him one of Naruto's most morally complex antagonists.
