Count Dracula Vlad Tepes is the immortal vampire lord and primary antagonist of the Castlevania series. Once a human scholar named Mathias Cronqvist, he became a vampire after losing his wife to illness and growing to despise God. After centuries of dormancy, he wages war on humanity following the execution of his second wife Lisa by the Church. His rage unleashes an army of night creatures upon Wallachia, and only the combined efforts of Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and his own son Alucard can stop him.
