Marco the Phoenix was the 1st Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and Whitebeard's closest and most trusted subordinate. His Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix grants him the ability to transform into a phoenix wreathed in blue regenerative flames, making him nearly impossible to kill. These "Blue Flames of Resurrection" can heal himself and others but do not burn — they restore. Marco fought admirals at Marineford and played a crucial role in the Wano raid, holding off both King and Queen simultaneously. After Whitebeard's death, he became the guardian of Whitebeard's home village on Sphinx Island.
